USS Midway Museum (San Diego - Californie)

L'USS Midway CV-41 est un ancien porte-avions américain mis en service après la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et qui a servi jusqu'à son déclassement en 1992. Il a notamment participé à la Guerre du Viêt Nam (1970-1972) et à Guerre du Golf en 1990-1991. Aujourd'hui, transformé en musée et amarré dans le port de San Diego, il permet de découvrir la vie à bord de ce type de navire ainsi que d'admirer plusieurs avions de combat ayant servis dans l'aéronavale tel que le F-14 Tomcat piloté par l'acteur Tom Cruise dans le film de Tony Scott, Top Gun. The USS Midway CV-41 is a former US aircraft carrier into service after the end of World War II and served until its decommissioning in 1992. It has participated in the Vietnam War (1970-1972) and Gulf War in 1990-1991. Today, a museum and docked in the port of San Diego, it allows to discover life on board such vessels as well as admire several fighters who served in naval aviation as the F-14 Tomcat piloted by Tom Cruise in the film by Tony Scott, Top Gun.
