Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park (Utah - Arizona)

 

Monument Valley est un site naturel connu pour ses formations géomorphologiques. Il est situé aux États-Unis à la frontière entre l'Arizona et l'Utah et proche du Four Corners. Le site fait partie d'une réserve des Indiens Navajos et du plateau du Colorado. Les Navajos nomment l'endroit « Tsé Bii' Ndzisgaii », qui signifie « la vallée des rocs ». De nombreux films ont été tournés à Monument Valley, et malgré la croyance populaire, pas exclusivement des westerns : La Chevauchée fantastique, Il était une fois dans l'Ouest, Thelma et Louise, Retour vers le futur 3, Forrest Gump ou plus récemment Transformers 4. Monument Valley is a natural site known for its geomorphological features. It is located in the United States at the border between Arizona and Utah and near the Four Corners. The site is part of a reserve Navajo Indians of the Colorado Plateau. The Navajo call the place "Tse Bii 'Ndzisgaii", meaning "the valley of the rocks." Many films have been shot in Monument Valley, and despite popular growth, not only westerns: Stagecoach, Once Upon a Time in the West, Thelma & Louise, Back to the Future 3, Forrest Gump and more recently Transformers 4. Le Grand Caynon fait sans aucun doute parti des parc nationaux américains les plus connus et les plus visités. Il est le deuxième plus grand canyon au monde après celui Tsangpo au Tibet qui est plus profond et plus long que le Grand Canyon. Le Grand Canyon est un canyon encaissée sculptée par le fleuve Colorado dans l'état de l'Arizona. Il est long de 446 km (277 miles) de long, jusqu'à 29 km (18 miles) de large et atteint une profondeur de plus 1800 mètres (un mile soit 6.000 pieds). The Grand Caynon is undoubtedly advantage of the most famous US national park and most visited. It is the second largest canyon in the world after Tsangpo in Tibet that is deeper and longer than the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the state of Arizona. Joshua Tree National Park - Première partie (Californie)

Le parc national de Joshua Tree est situé dans le sud-est de la Californie et abrite deux écosystèmes de désert distincts : le désert du Colorado, aux altitudes basses, et le désert des Mojaves aux élévations plus hautes. Il a été déclaré parc national en 1994 et il est l'habitat du Joshua tree, arbre de Josué, une espèce poussant uniquement au Sud-Ouest des États-Unis (Californie, Arizona, Utah, et Nevada).
