A la sortie de Pozières, à votre droite en vous dirigeant vers Albert via la D929, se situe d'une part le blockhaus allemand "Gibraltar", vestige encore visible de la Première Guerre Mondiale, et d'autre part le Mémorial de La Première Division australienne. Le rapport entre les deux est simple : le blockhaus fût pris aux mains des Allemands par les Australiens entre les 23 et 26 juillet 1916 lors de la bataille de Pozières, bataille qui s'inscrit dans le cadre de la Bataille de la Somme.
At the exit of Pozières , on the right heading towards Albert D929 , is firstly the German blockhouse " Gibraltar " , still visible remains of the First World War, and secondly Memorial First Australian Division . The ratio between the two is simple: the blockhouse was taken to the Germans by Australians between 23 and 26 July 1916 during the Battle of Pozières , battle that part of the Battle of the Somme.
