Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park (Utah - Arizona)

 

Monument Valley est un site naturel connu pour ses formations géomorphologiques. Il est situé aux États-Unis à la frontière entre l'Arizona et l'Utah et proche du Four Corners. Le site fait partie d'une réserve des Indiens Navajos et du plateau du Colorado. Les Navajos nomment l'endroit « Tsé Bii' Ndzisgaii », qui signifie « la vallée des rocs ». De nombreux films ont été tournés à Monument Valley, et malgré la croyance populaire, pas exclusivement des westerns : La Chevauchée fantastique, Il était une fois dans l'Ouest, Thelma et Louise, Retour vers le futur 3, Forrest Gump ou plus récemment Transformers 4. Monument Valley is a natural site known for its geomorphological features. It is located in the United States at the border between Arizona and Utah and near the Four Corners. The site is part of a reserve Navajo Indians of the Colorado Plateau. The Navajo call the place "Tse Bii 'Ndzisgaii", meaning "the valley of the rocks."
